The Zijinshan mine in Fujian Province in southeast China

The Zijinshan mine in Fujian Province in southeast China is another classic example of a high sulphidation gold system

A WORLD-CLASS HIGH SULPHIDATION GOLD DEPOSIT VERY FEW KNOW - Outcropping silica and advanced argillic alteration capped the mountain over this deposit which recently produced over 500,000 oz/yr Au.

Deep oxidation of the vuggy silica/hematite gold orebody is seen in the right-hand side of this image.

The Zijinshan mine in Fujian Province in southeast China is another classic example of a high sulphidation gold system overlying an enargite-digenite copper system at depth related to Cretaceous magmatism.
